Sons of Anarchy 5.11 “To Thine Own Self” Review
This episode of “Sons of Anarchy” was titled “To Thine Own Self”. The episode was pretty cagey as the prime characters were consolidating and getting people on their side for what is billed to be a show down come the season’s finale which is but episodes away.

With the way things are going, it does look as if Clay Morrow may not survive the few episodes that are left in this season. This episode was particularly gruesome for him as he was pushed to the corner and everything about him was exposed. It was like the hands of those around are being forced to react and he does not seem to have any friends about.
Juice and Gemma now know about the Nomads while Bobby and Chibbs are now aware of Tara and Piney. As for Jax, he now seems dead set on taking over and possibly killing his stepfather. Everything that seemed to give Clay a reason to be alive has been taken out. Last season, it was the fact that the blackmail plot was water tight kept him alive but that has been foiled and things are not really looking good for Clay who is a major character in the show.
But it won’t be the first time a major character would die if he is eventually killed and the example of the first major character to die showed that the writers won’t blink if that is how the story would turn. There’s only one justifiable reason left for him to still be alive and that would be because of the old friendship he had with Bobby.
Things have become so bad for him that sitting on the SAMCRO table may just now be possible anymore but if Booby were to step in and help him, it would be for old time sake and that would only be to save his life. But Clay is just one of those characters that all would imagine would stay till the end of the show and despite how things stand with him now; it does look like he might get through this season.
He continued to sound out people and see those that would be on his side as things build towards a confrontation with Jax. But he was not the only person doing this as Jax too who is now obsessed in seeing to the end of his step father’s reign is also playing his cards and drawing people to his side. Clay tried reaching out to Tig but this was not quite successful or so it seemed. But Jax was a bit blunt with his mother and Juice and he threatened them into his corner.
All seems set for the penultimate episode coming up; it is billed to be something memorable.
